Campus
The AUP campus lies at the center of one of Paris's oldest, most culturally diverse, neighborhoods and at the crossroads of different cultures, academic disciplines, and practical experiences.
Academics
AUP is perfectly situated to help you embark upon your journey of discovery as you and your classmates navigate our liberal arts curriculum and study in Paris with the guidance of our first-rate faculty. Whether you're interested in exploring Paris through its museums and literature, examining human rights law, analyzing artificial intelligence, or studying the role of women in the French Renaissance, you will find the tools you will need for now and the future.
Undergraduate
degree programs are based on the American model, where you can explore and choose from a multitude of academic disciplines in small classrooms of peers from around the world. Your classroom work will be applied to real-world situations in a range of local and continental settings from Parisian museums to the Medina of Fez to the halls of the European Parliament in Brussels.
There is literally nothing like the undergraduate experience at AUP. You will learn from professors whose passion for their subjects is matched only by their enthusiasm for teaching: they will act as your mentors as you collaborate on projects both in and out of the classroom. Your classmates will come from every corner of the globe and bring with them a diverse---and sometimes challenging--array of experience and perspective. Paris, Europe and beyond will be your classroom, your laboratory, your source of (endless) entertainment and your home.
Spending a semester at AUP is a great way to broaden your horizons, to become familiar with Paris, and to learn or brush up on your French language skills. To help you make the most of your time at AUP, the University requires all visiting students to arrange housing with AUP. Visiting students live with classmates in shared, furnished, Internet-equipped apartments located in convenient locations to commute to campus via metro.
Summer Calendar
The AUP Summer School offers multiple summer sessions. There is a 3-week session offered in June, a 3-week session offered in July, and a 6-week session that runs from early June through late July. Students can choose to participate in one single session or do two 3-week sessions. Students can elect to take two courses during the 6-week session. AUP recommends that students take no more than 8 credits for the entire summer.
