Program Description:

SUMMER THEATRE
 
NTI - Theatermakers Summer Intensive
Experience the process of creating new work alongside renowned developmental conferences over a six week period in the summer. 
 
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

ORIGINAL WORK
In addition to daily classes, you will bring original work to life each week written, directed, and performed by the Theatermakers ensemble. Your work is given public presentations as part of the O’Neill’s summer season.

MENTORSHIP
The Theatermakers Summer Intensive offers mentorship through daily master classes and workshops. Train with award-winning professionals and emerging artists who help to guide you through the rigorous practice of producing your own work each week.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Through assistantships and observerships, you cultivate professional experience in the process of creating new work with the National Playwrights Conference and the National Music Theater Conference. Additionally, you will gain exposure to the latest developments in the arts of Puppetry, Criticism, and Producing.

HOUSING
Six dormitory cottages are each home to approximately a dozen students in double or single rooms. All rooms include beds, desks, dressers, and closets and are fully accessible. Each floor has private bathrooms and shower rooms. Every cottage has a common living space to study, socialize, or even stage a scene.
