With travel resuming around the world with the easing of COVID precautions, you should be prepared for disruptions when traveling to your host city - especially if you are traveling to or through Europe. There have been numerous flight cancellations, strikes and staffing shortages, delays retrieving baggage, and long lines at security checkpoints. These complications are expected to continue at least through fall 2022. When traveling, be sure to keep contact information on you at all times so that you can remain in contact with relevant parties (e.g., your program provider, your airline) if plans change. Arrive at the airport earlier than usual and leave time between flights to make your connections if you have a layover.
