Starting an Advising Application
Contact the Off-Campus Study Office in Burton Morgan 417 to sign up for a Study Abroad 101 Session. These sessions are offered three times each week from the beginning of September to the end of October. At the end of your SA 101 Session you will make an appointment to meet with an OCS Advisor two weeks out from the date of your SA 101 Session. During the two weeks that follow you will complete the tasks below in preparation for your meeting:
- Use the search tools at http://globaltools.denison.edu to research the Denison approved off-campus study programs.
- Complete an Advising Application: Students may submit an advising application by clicking on any program on the globaltools.denison.edu website and clicking the "Select this Program" button. Please note that by clicking on this program you are NOT applying nor are you guaranteed approval for this specific program. This is simply a way for you to launch an Advising Application in the system.
The Advising Application requires that you meet with your Faculty Advisor to discuss and document an academic plan and to obtain his/her signature on the Academic Planning Form. We strongly suggest that you contact your Faculty Advisor immediately following your SA 101 to schedule a meeting. If your Faculty Advisor is not available, please schedule a time to meet with a faculty from your major department and make certain to obtain his/her signature on the form.
